Project management is the planning, organizing and managing of tasks and resources to accomplish a defined objective, usually with constraints on time and cost. Most projects, whether they are large and complex or small and simple, can be planned by breaking the project into small, easily manageable tasks, scheduling the tasks, and then tracking the tasks as work progresses.

The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within the given constraints.

  • Coordinate cross-functional work

  • Centralize project plans, details, files and feedback

  • Share status updates with all stakeholders

  • Improve team collaboration

Project Management Support

The main objective is to support the Project Manager and Project Team in the co-ordination, planning and control of the project. They receive minimal supervision from the Project Manager to ensure the agreed project management methods and standards are implemented throughout the project.

Project management support options:

We will recommend one of the following service levels based on the nature of your project, taking into account your support and budget requirements.

  • A Project Manager will work with the teams allocated to the project to scope and plan the project activities.

  • On approval of the scope and the plan, responsibility for day-to-day management of the project’s activities is handed back to a manager with subject matter expertise in delivering this type of work.

  • Project progress is reported and tracked internally with management intervention by exception as required.

  • Should significant risks or change arise, a Project Manager will be re-deployed to re-plan work and provide support as required.

  • A Project Manager is aligned to provide support throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle.

  • The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of activities on the project.

  • As well as the internal progress reporting described above, the Project Manager will provide regular written or verbal progress updates to you and join project steering group meetings as required.
